There will be no visitation. Born April 22, 1938, in Chicago, IL, Mr. Hoidahl was the son of Christian and Goldie (Johnson) Hoidahl. He is survived by two children, Sonja Wattles and husband Scott of Mattoon, IL, and Kirsten Griffin of North Bethesda, MD; and three grandchildren, Kari Wattles of Mattoon, IL, Kirsti Wattles of Mattoon, IL, and Colin Griffin of North Bethesda, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dale was a 1956 graduate of South Shore High School in Chicago, IL. In 1960, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He was employed by Allstate Insurance Company for thirty-five years and was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, IL. In his free time, Dale loved to travel. His father was born in Norway, and Dale was very proud of his Norwegian heritage.
